In 2015, I left Mexico with a suitcase full of clothes… and no idea how much I would miss home.

I was excited for a new chapter in the United States, new opportunities, new dreams. But as the months passed, I felt it quietly creeping in.

I missed the colors.
I missed the markets.
I missed the texture of leather and thread.
I missed hearing Spanish everywhere.
I missed the feeling of belonging without having to explain myself.
I missed home.

That ache didn’t go away. It turned into Xoulmade.

What started as a way to stay connected to my culture became a promise to honor it, protect it, and carry it forward.

Xoulmade officially launched in 2020, but its soul is much older than that. Our pieces are handmade by artisans across Mexico — many from remote Indigenous communities where Spanish isn’t even the first language spoken. Their hands carry generations of knowledge. Techniques passed down quietly, patiently, intentionally.

And yet, too often, that work is underpaid. Undervalued. Overlooked.

We refuse to let that be the story.

Xoulmade exists to celebrate Mexican craftsmanship, and to ensure the people behind it are paid fairly, respected deeply, and seen fully.

Every collar.
Every hat.
Every bracelet.

Handmade. Never mass-produced.
Made with history. Made with intention. Made with soul.

This isn’t just about accessories. It’s about carrying home with you, wherever you are.

When you choose Xoulmade, you’re not just buying something beautiful. You’re helping preserve tradition, support real families, and keep culture alive.

And now, you’re part of that story too.

Con amor ,
Zoe
